Photographs
Some of what I view to be my 'better' images are shown on these pages. These are obviously reduced quality images created from the large images files - the actual quality cannot be shown on a web site.

I shoot in RAW format by default (unless using my Canon G12 compact camera). When I've downloaded all the images to the computer, I then review them all and select the ones I think are the best and then will process them at a later date. I have quite a few images in this state (waiting to process) - a day out with the camera will often net me over 500 photographs which I then have to sort and find the good shots!

I've started to assemble a printed portfolio of some of my photographs with prints up to 20 inches in width/height. Having large prints is a fantastic way to view photographs and enables you to get a better view of the captured image. Too often these days we take our digital photograph and then keep it restricted within the digital format - it's much nicer to set the image free and get it printed out. Prints are fantastic and a part of 'old' photography which I have been missing.
